“Georgia On Your Mind” is a podcast born out of the University of Georgia’s New Media Institute. We aim to highlight some of the industrial, academic, and cultural ways the Peach State excels.

The podcast is recorded and produced solely by UGA graduate students, and our funding comes from the generous donors at the Spark Foundation.

With each episode we explore how the University of Georgia contributes to the state’s success. Join us as we engage with alumni, students, faculty members, and industry experts who offer insights from university, state, and even national perspectives.

Special thanks to the New Media Institute for supporting this Emerging Media Masters capstone project, and to our esteemed guests for sharing their expertise. This podcast thrives because of you!

Listen now and discover how Georgia stands out as a multifaceted powerhouse.

For season four of Georgia On Your Mind, the new cohort of NMI graduate students is taking the podcast out of the studio and into the field. Our hosts are going out into the field, covering stories from across the Peach State, the South, and beyond, highlighting the impacts our university and its graduates make on their communities. Georgia’s diverse landscapes, cultures, and communities guide us, and this season we are taking you along for the ride as we discover the true breadth of UGA’s impact outside of Athens.
